I chose to stream this game! It's at 6:51! Enjoy! Thought this was alright, it was short, weird and atmospheric. It looked like an afternoon walk gone wrong :) There was a moment where I did get lost and didn't know where to go, but I eventually got there in the end. keep it up! :)
In the short horror game 'Affected' Developer Matvey Denisov drags the unsuspected player from his safe seat in front of a computer screen, right into the fields of a place called 'Somewhere,' in the middle of nowhere. It is this dreary setting, that the player has to move forward through fields an shrubbery to find strands of a story of his past and future. Submerged in a otherworldly feeling of dread and anxiety, one cannot do anything, but take step after step and unravel a story with an rather awful ending.
I didn't run into any bugs, hiccups or other snags, so kudos to all involved, and thanks for making this game!
I realize it's a beta and a demo, but here's my review.
Usability - 5/10.
No settings, at least of sound. No way to exit the game or at least to return to the menu. No localization. The controls were not clear. Not a very handy flashlight.
Graphics - 9/10
I like this kind of graphics. I'm a fan. But in the distance really can't understand what objects I see.
The car seemed like a bunker or door to me.
Sounds - 4/10
The environment, sounds of footsteps and bushes are cool. This is the only thing I liked. The sound of button pointing in the menu is scary.
The sound of the bench hitting is too loud.
Gameplay - 2/10
It's not clear what to do. It killed me while I wasn't in the game. Frightening not what is supposed to be frightening.
Level design - 3/10
Overall cool style, but no interactivity what-so-ever. Even in a 5 minute demo it should be clear what's going on, what to do, etc.
Idea - 6/10
I like micro horror games.
Performance - 8/10
RTX 4060 + AMD Ryzen 9 5900x The game jumps from 100 to 300 fps. Somewhere too loaded light apparently. There are no graphics settings.
Also, the size of the game is unnecessarily large.
